Fine & Country Director takes on Welsh walking challenge

Tom Carter, Director of Fine & Country North WalesTom Carter, Director of Fine & Country North Wales, will join six fellow participants this weekend in a ‘Cross Wales Walk’ to raise funds for The Fine & Country Foundation.

The group will take on a demanding 47-mile route, beginning at the Shropshire and Powys border, and finishing in Aberystwyth. Setting off at 4:30am on Saturday, the team aims to complete the entire distance by nightfall, pushing their physical limits in support of a worthy cause.

The walk follows closely on the heels of the recent Fine & Country Dragon Relay, which saw Tom and other Welsh licensees transport ‘Franco the Dragon’ across Wales in a creative and collaborative fundraising effort.

Carter said: “This walk is a very different kind of challenge, but the goal remains the same, to raise as much as possible for The Fine & Country Foundation and support the vital work it does.”

Welsh Ambassador

Emilie Despois, Trustee of The Fine & Country Foundation, said: “Tom’s dedication as our Welsh Ambassador continues to be truly inspiring.

“His commitment to going above and beyond in support of The Foundation’s mission is nothing short of remarkable. Challenges like a 47-mile walk not only demonstrate his personal resilience, but also play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for those in need. We are incredibly grateful for his unwavering support.”

Participants in the Cross Wales Walk are hoping to build on the enthusiasm generated by the Dragon Relay, encouraging donations and raising awareness throughout the journey. Supporters can follow their progress and contribute via their dedicated JustGiving page.

The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to helping charities both in the UK and internationally, that work tirelessly to assist people who are afflicted by homelessness and poverty.
